Trade-ins are appraised the same day during the July 4th Golf Cart Sales Event, and trade value stacks on top of event pricing — the discount is not reduced because you are trading.
What we need to appraise it
- Make, model and year
- Serial number (usually under the seat or on the frame rail)
- Battery year and chemistry, or engine hours on a gas cart
- Photos: front, rear, both sides, the seats, and the battery compartment
- Anything not working — we would rather know up front
What drives trade value
Battery age is the single biggest factor on an electric cart. A lead-acid pack older than four years is priced as a near-term replacement. Lithium packs hold value far longer. On gas carts, hours and service history matter most. Body condition, seats, tires and whether the cart is street legal all move the number.

Questions and answers
What is the difference between an electric and a gas golf cart?
Electric carts are quiet, need no fuel, and cost roughly $0.50–$1.50 to fully charge; lithium packs last 8–10 years and charge in 3–5 hours. Gas carts offer longer continuous range and instant refueling, which suits large properties, hunting and hilly terrain. For neighborhood, resort and beach driving, electric — especially lithium — is the more common choice.
Can I trade in my old golf cart during the sale?
Yes. Trade-ins are welcomed and appraised the same day during the Independence Day event, on any make and in any condition. Bring the cart to any location or send photos and the serial number to get a trade value before you arrive.
How many passengers can a golf cart carry?
Standard carts seat 2 or 4 passengers. Extended-frame models seat 6, and limousine-style carts seat 8. Six-passenger carts are the most popular choice for beach towns and golf communities during the July 4th event because rear seats can flip to a cargo deck.
